christmas eve box

I'm doing christmas eve boxes again this year.
I usually put in new pj's, hot choc sachet, reindeer dust, colouring book etc in but I've been using Xmas bags instead as I couldn't find a big enough Box.
Anyone know where they sell Big Xmas boxes? It needs to fit in size 12-13 pj's plus everything else.
A showbox isn't big enough.

Hi,you could try a place called The Works,I got some storage boxes from there last year, they do all sorts of designs and at this time of year they have Christmas ones too.

Could you get boxes from the supermarket and cover them with Christmas paper?

I used a basket from Sainsburys and my friend got a hamper basket from Hobby Craft, which both of us re use every year.

TKMaxx or HomeStyle (the household TKMaxx store) sell gorgeous boxes.IIRC about £5-6 for really nice big ones.
But don't leave it too late , they tend to get them in early (November time)

And QVC for the last few years have sold Lindy Bowman ( he's in the USA , produces bags and boxes)
I got a set of boxes last year, used the big ones for CEH , smaller ones for presents.

Thos year, I have stripey canvas oval baskets (from my candle order) that I'm going to use.

I got a self assemble Christmas themed box in dunelm mill last year. Haven't been recently but you could check it out?

Home bargains have a child friendly square cardboard box printed with Xmas scenes, images etc for £2.99 - it's about twice or maybe three times the size of a shoe box. They also sell the hamper filling for about 80p.

I tend to get a cardboard big box from tesco (they have loads of old boxes from unpacking) and wrap it all over and line with tissue paper as we do a family hamper on Xmas eve from Santa so needs to be bigger again.

The Works or try TKMaxx but may be a bit early was in yesterday but main focus seemed to be on Fall and Halloween decorations.
But please forgive me if I offend but I do not quite get this Christmas Eve Box/ Hamper thing is it just a Mumsnet thing ? No one I know in RL does this or even heard of it ? Is it not just one more pressure to put on yourself at a very busy time of year?

I know what you mean busymummy3, I've never done it and don't know anyone who does. But I'm very tempted, I think it could be fun if kept under control

It doesn't need to cost much extra really. My dds love it although we do a family hamper and everything but the pjs is what I buy anyway..

Kids pjs
Kids sweets
Hot chocolate satchets
Bath bomb
Adult drinks and sweets
Xmas dvd

All wrapped in box and left in front of fire at 5pm. It's the highlight of Xmas for my two!
