Hi, I'm doing a daily activity to go with my DC advent calendar.
I have the usual - write cards, watch a Christmas movie, go to panto etc.
Does anyone have some fun, inexpensive ideas to share?
Thank u ??

RACK - random act of Christmas kindness

Could be giving a homeless person a warm drink, leaving a note for someone to find etc

Make biscuits in the shape of a bishop's mitre and give as small gifts on 6th December.

Visit a local church that has a crib.

Make a mobile with paper angels.

See who can make the longest paper chain.

Collect pine cones, paint them and use as decorations.

Go and see the lights and santa. Lots of arts and crafts off pintrest. Make bird feeders. Make snowflakes, snow globes, wrapping paper. A late(ish) night walk to see people's lights. Snow playdough. Make biscuits. Ice the cake. And a couple of sticker/activity or christmas books for long journeys.

Choose a new decoration, decorate Christmas biscuits, Christmas word search, special breakfast.

How old are your kids? This is my longish list, we do a lot of watching Christmas DVDs on days when DH and I work and the kids are at school.

Candle lit bath is always a favourite here, we always do on Christmas eve as well as another day.

write christmas cards
get and decorate tree
open present on Christmas Eve
ChristmasJigsaw (Ravensburger do a new one every year but we take out the same one every year)
Visit FC
Hang up stocking and leave food and drink for Santa and Reindeer
Hang up holly/mistletoe/ivy
Santa Run (charity event, there are santa runs all over the country)
Hot chocolate or popcorn with a Christmas DVD
Decorate cake
Pancakes for breakfast
We always make a christmas tree decoration, last year was pompom robins
paperchains/popcorn tree decoration (the popcorn decoration could go outside for the birds if you fancied that)
paper snowflakes (I do tasteful white ones for the windows, DH does enormous colourful ones using tissue paper that always get lots of compliments)
We usually buy a Christmas sticker book, I also have a Christmas Art book that we do things from
Christmassy playdough (homemade with glitter in and I add mixed spice, almond essence or peppermint oil)
pomander (this is my favourite activity)
potato prints wrapping paper
snowglobes (never done this yet but have all the stuff, maybe this year!)
Carol concert
Christmas books (we have tons of these that come out on the first of December but the girls are of the age that they love the latest Holly Webb as well)
We usually donate old toys to a charity or buy a gift for a Christmas appeal
Bird feeder
Walk in the woods (we have a local wood that has a Christmas trail)
Evening walk with torches to see Christmas lights
