Dolls - help!

As we're expecting DC2 next year we'd like to get our DD a doll for Christmas so she can get used to handling a baby (ha!).
She'll be around 20 months by then - can anyone recommend something suitable?
There seems to be a baffling amount of brands and versions around and I don't want to pick a dud.
Would like something good quality and with a good range of clothes and accessories that we can add to - and preferably not a scary face Smile
Thanks!

My DDs dolly is from sainsburys I think. Clothes and accessories available. I know you being lighthearted but the way she plays with her doll is very different to how she interacts with actual small babies. So don't assume if she's rough with her dolly she will be with her sibling.

Ours were from elc. I wanted something simple (no batteries) and like you without a scary face. Also we had a request for a boy which narrowed thing down a lot since so many came dressed in pink.

The best thing is that tiny baby clothes fit quite well, so much cheaper to pick up a few bits from the car boot and better quality than most dolls clothes too.

Corolle ones are nice, you can get them on amazon.

Thanks! And don't worry, I not going to be using the doll as a gage for what kind of sister she'll beSmile

We got a La Corelle one from Amazon. For clothes I ordered from Frilly Lilly, I like that I could get terry nappies, vest, sleepsuit etc just like her little sister had.

I've got dd who'll be 22 months the emmi doll from tesco with the emmi rocking crib and some accessories (the clothes that fit are cheap asda ones, around £2 a set) I wanted something friendly looking, sweet and a good size, plus eye that close when lay down. Would definitely recommend it.
