Personalised story books

When I was a kid I had a story book which was personalised with my name, friends name, town where we lived etc, and I'd love to get something similar for my DD.

I've done some extensive Googling but can't find what I'm looking for. I DON'T want Disney or character stories, I DON'T want to add photos, I DO want to be able to add at least one friends name in addition to DDs name. I'd rather it not be Christmas-specific.

Has anyone seen anything like this, pretty please?

just actually came across this when I was searching for pretty much the same, so thanks for asking the question on here!

I can't decide whetehr to go with one from Lostmyname, i did actually see them before on dragons den but had forgotten or i've also found a nice one on the 12 days www.personalise.co.uk/12-days-book (it's Christmas related though so not what the original poster necessarily wants.)

Just bit worried that they cost bit more than regular books and if my 6 year old will actually care his name is in it!

A bit late on this one, but if anyone else is looking for children's personalised books I can recommend www.amazingpages.co.uk. Really lovely books you can either personalise with a photo, or else using the website to match the look of the child, and also add friend's name etc. Not tacky like some other ones I've seen and the quality of the books is brilliant.
