Zookeeper experience days

DD did a junior zookeeper experience at Marwell Zoo last year which she loved and would like to do another. She'll be 14 soon so will probably be in the junior camp for a couple of years still.

Can anyone recommend a good one please? She's happy with all aspects of animal care and just likes getting up close and being behind the scenes.

Happy to travel and have a weekend away. I expect over the next few years she'll work her way round all of them.

Thanks.

DD1 (8) did the junior keeper experience at Bristol Zoo in August.
It's the only one she's done so we've nothing to compare it too, but she loved every second.
The keeper who worked with her was fantastic and took the time to answer her millions of questions.
She started by sorting out the hissing cockroaches - changing food, spraying their soil with water etc. Then did the same for Giant African landsnails. Then she had to catch live hoppers to feed to a lizard.
Then she prepared the food and feed Meerkats. Ditto Lemurs.
Finally she feed the fur seals which involved getting them to do tricks.
The experience lasted 2hrs.
For her, it was perfect :-)

London Zoo does a 3.5 hour junior zoo keeper experience. My dad has done a couple of the adult zookeeper days and loved them.
