Ideas for 16m old boy

DS will be 16m at Christmas. We live in an apartment so dont have masses of space. He has outside access/space at grandparents.

Any ideas for interests, hobbies and extracurricular activities?

My one year old's interests, hobbies and extra curricular activities consist of pulling things out of cupboards and rubbing his dinner into his hair.

His favourite toys are Hide n Squeak eggs and stacking cups and he loves a book he has called "Baby Faces Peekaboo" with a yellow cover (and he has a lot of books).

Something like a rolling ball or car tower would keep my son entertained. Most of my friends seem to get their one year old's outdoor ride on things for their 'big' presents.

We bought the Happyland Train Set. DS played with it for years.
