Realised I've already got a few random bit I need to find for Christmas and thought if anyone was looking for something they could post on here?

Need to find....

Christmas wrapping paper that's not wafer thin but not too thick to tear nicely, with a 'naice' understated/vintage/traditional design in soft shades - like snowflakes or something rather than bright manic santas. And not too pricey. Realise this may be the holy grail though!
Fairly large empty plastic baubles suitable for filling
Somewhere you can have your own T-shirt printed that turns out good quality, not with a design that breaks up after 3 washes
Cheap vintage/traditional/victorian style paper advent calendar (where you just get a picture)
Nice wooden advent calendar for less than £15ish

Oh and a really nice gift box that would fit a shirt in

Im also looking for the clear fillable baubles. The ones Ive seen are quite expensive for some plastic. 6cm for £1 each hmm.

I brought my wrapping paper from studio24 last year and this year I have got some from halfcost. Traditional style this year.

ILoveMyMonkey · 28/08/2015 12:21

Boots had the clear fillable baubles the last 2 years running but only once their christmas stock comes in.

ILoveMyMonkey · 28/08/2015 12:22

Oh and they were about tennis ball size maybe slightly bigger

wonkywheel · 29/08/2015 21:00

Thanks - I looked on studio24 and their wrapping paper is nice but not quite right fussy idiot and yes, would like the fillable baubles as cheap as poss, £1 for fairly small ones sounds a bit high. Tennis ball size ones sound decent, will keep an eye on Boots.

Crumbled - fab idea about the brown paper , just checked ebay for kraft paper and you can get it in red, green and silver so think I'm going to nick that idea and decorate the paper with stamps & ribbons etc, sorted! Seems to be a dizzying lot of ideas for kraft paper on Pinterest, may get lost in ideas.

Would love to find somewhere that does cheap gift boxes in different sizes, may have to head to ebay there too.

I had beautiful paper last year from asda, brown paper with vintage style deer printed. Looked much more expensive than it was and im hoping they have similar this year.

wonkywheel · 29/08/2015 21:10

Oooh, that sounds gorgeous Olafs, will check out Asda, thanks!

I get my advent calendars from this company, they have a great choice of traditional paper ones. Its always a struggle each year just to choose one, I really should get one for each room.

Thanks neeps

I always buy advent calendars for my teenage nephews - some great ideas there :)

Just came across these large clear baubles when I was looking for something else www.bakerross.co.uk/large-transparent-photo-baubles
And here's a 15% off code I was emailed : R535C

I'm sure I saw some paper Advent calendars in WHSmiths and Waterstones last year.

John Lewis are quite good for gift boxes, look in the stationery and ordinary gift wrapping department as they might not have one in the Christmas department for a shirt. Alternatively you could find a gift bag and just wrap the shirt in some tissue before placing in the bag.

SideOrderofChips · 30/08/2015 13:12

Try amazon for the fillable bauables

wonkywheel · 30/08/2015 15:34

Thankyou neeps - those are beautiful, are the pictures inside nice too?

Those baker ross baubles are good prices, hadn't thought to check there but will compare with amazon too, thanks, and will check JL for boxes Grin

Costco for the wrapping paper if you are a member.

WankerDeAsalWipe · 31/08/2015 18:18

Would these do for the satchels?

Loads of different designs:
