Hi Jolly did you get there?
Could you do something birthday related. Hmmm. Sorry mind a bit blank this morning after two lates nights in a row with the kids christmas concert. Today they had the "How many birds were given at Christmas" one - which was really appropriate at the concert was the 12 days of christmas!

Anyway let me know if you need any more and I'll try to kick start my brain. The making ones are quite good for the weekend. Crackers? Baubles? Snowflakes...... Or when do you put your tree up. That would be a good one (if a little hard to acheive before breakfast!

REad in the guardian about making a festive globe to hang just inside the door. Idea is that neighbours and friends put aside any feelings of hostility from the year. Was the precursor to the kissing under the mistletoe. They suggest using 2 coat hangers but sounds a bit blue peterish to me. The alternative was a ball of oasis. Sounds much easier. Just push in festive plants, holly, mistletoe, greenery whatever and hang in doorway. Would be a good one with kids.

Another thing we are doing is making festive bird fat balls. Going to try doing them in cookie cutters and ice cube trays shaped like christmas trees. Will being doing them over the next few days for the christmas fayre at the weekend so will let you know if it works. Also planning to make bathbombs using same molds. Gulp!!!! Would be good activities though if you are desperate. Still think "Put up tree" or "Stuff Turkey!" would be good ones.

OK so be warned the cookie cutters do not work for the festive fat balls - the suet runs out from underneath. But the ice cude trays work brill. Got heaps of little christmas trees now. Going to try the bath bombs tomorrow.
