I have got Garfield typing tutor which is good, someone else has recommended Mavis Beacon teaches typing for kids but I haven't tried this.

Thanks - I've been looking for one, too, as ds1's handwriting is so awaful that he is better off typing.
Are any of these suggestions suitable for yr 8 child do you happen to know? He wouldn't be impressed with Sponge Bob!
