both my d/d are getting bikes so obviously not but other cinderella castle thingy i wrapped and two barbie jewellery boxes. Then i had to give wrapping paper away as girls are so switched on they would know it was same paper as santa pressie. or should i just leave it out unwrapped. neighbour has kindly got pressie to hide for me .

pressies have to be wrapped!

sanchpanch · 26/11/2006 10:02

i dont let them see the wrapping paper!!!!

everything gets wrapped here

foxtrot · 26/11/2006 10:04

A different paper for each child's stocking pressies, so they don't get in a muddle. And some completely different paper for presents from RL people!

foxtrot · 26/11/2006 10:05

I'd wrap the bikes under a sheet or cheapy paper xmas tablecloth from the ££ shop.

boomie · 26/11/2006 10:08

I do exactly the same Foxtrot

paulaplumpbottom · 26/11/2006 10:08

It never occured to me that my 3yr old might realise its the same paper, I have used for everyone elses. I'm glad you guys said something.

KBear · 26/11/2006 10:11

wrap everything

DD does notice if the paper is the same for our present! I now wrap ours in gold paper or something more special.

wheresthehamster · 26/11/2006 10:27

No, Santa's pressies are NEVER wrapped, he just doesn't have the time.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 26/11/2006 10:30

yep - everything wrapped - all bits that go in stockings are wrapped.

we do the different paper for each persons stockings and then completely different paper for under tree presents!

somersetmum · 26/11/2006 20:58

We wrap about half the Santa pressies and leave half unwrapped, so it looks like he chose them there and then (in their rooms) and just tossed them in

All under the tree pressies are wrapped in different paper to Santa pressies.

ds (8 nearly 9) noticed that I wrapped this year's Charity Shoe Box in the same paper as Santa used last year

ShinyHappyStarOfBethlehem · 26/11/2006 21:06

Some and some... just how my mum did it for us..

BaileysMilkshake · 26/11/2006 21:56

All pressies from us are wrapped - then those in stocking are wrapped if they dont fit in and some of the nicer more expensive stocking presents are wrapped too = like Dora figures etc

BaileysMilkshake · 26/11/2006 21:56

Oh and those in the stocking have special 'Santa paper' that's not used on anything else.

CountTo10LordsaLeaping · 26/11/2006 22:01

I wrap everything including most of the stocking gifts but I use totally different wrapping paper to everything else. Not that ds would know, he's 2 but I would know!!!!

Peridot30 · 26/11/2006 22:21

i wrap absolutely everything. Both kids get different paper and then have to get everyone else another design of paper.

BaileysMilkshake · 27/11/2006 09:08

Yes also do that to save writing out loads of to DD from mummy and daddy labels - so all her pressies are in one type of wrapping and everyone elses in something else.

As well as another role from Santa - you dont want to know how much wrapping paper I have

expatinscotland · 27/11/2006 09:09

No. Santa's pressie is out on full display.

For DD1, it's a play dressing table.

For DD2, it's toys for a 1-year-old baby.

hulababy · 27/11/2006 09:10

We generally wrap everything. Didn't wrap Father Christmas's present for DD last year though as it was a pram and doll, and was a bit too bg. Thrown a sheet over it with a big bow on top instead.

dmo · 27/11/2006 09:18

i got bart wrapping paper in different designs for stocking presents (wrapping paper hiden) then i have another paper for toys downstairs in different designs

all relatives etc have different wrapping paper gone for a blue/sliver theme this year

flutterbee · 27/11/2006 09:20

Everything we buy for DS is from Santa and all of it is wrapped, anything anyone else buys either says from them or from Santa (depending on which they choose) everything is wrapped and I don't care what wrapping paper is used. If DS ever asks why its the same then obviously Santa and I buy our wrapping paper at the same store.

Also no presents go out until after DS is in bed on Christmas eve so he will never see any of the wrapping until Christmas morning.

noogles · 28/11/2006 09:14

Everything is wrapped from FC in a paper we dont show him. Or if he does by chance see paper we tell him that FC wanted us to send them to him!! This is the first year ds has been asking questions - its very hard (hes 3 1/2) The last few years I was able to wrap his pressies in front of him without him knowing ! No such luck this year!!
