long shot, DS has to sing it for nativity play. He wants the words but I can't find them.

Does it sound familiar? Does anyone know the words?

Title might be "the tale of the little donkey", instead

Little donkey (x2)
On a dusty road
Got to keep on plodding onwards
With your precious load
Been a long time little donkey
Through the frosty night
Got to keep on little donkey
Bethlehem's in sight

Ring out those bells tonight
Bethlehem (x2)
Follow that star toight
Bethlehem (x2)

Little donkey (x2)
Had a heavy day
Little donkey carry Mary
Safely on her way

Little donkey, little donkey on the dusty road
Got to keep on plodding onwards with your precious load
Been a long time, little donkey, through the winters night
Dont give up now, little donkey,
Bethlehems in sight

Ring out those bells tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem
Follow that star tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem

Little donkey, little donkey, had a heavy day
Little donkey, carry Mary safely on her way
Little donkey, little donkey, journey's end is near
There are wiseman waiting for a sign to bring them here

Do not falter little donkey, there's a star ahead
It will guide you, little donkey, to a cattle shed

Ring out those bells tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem
Follow that star tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem

Little donkey, little donkey, had a heavy day
Little donkey, carry Mary, safely on her way
Little donkey, carry Mary, safely on her way

NomDePlume · 20/11/2006 20:18

all I remember is...

Little donkey, little donkey
On a dusty road
Got to carry Mary
Safely on her way...

Follow that star tonight
Bethlehem, Bethlehem
Follow that star so bright
Bethlehem, Bethlehem

I'm sure you could google the lyrics

The best way to get song lyrics is to go to Google and type in the name or
forst line of the song, followed by the word "lyrics"

flack · 20/11/2006 20:43

Did that Sherlock, honest! But couldn't find it in the haystack. Or meant I had to brave sites like this one . Plus ds kept saying it was "tale of the little donkey". tale? Tail? Dor, What did I know?

Thanks to all... will printout show ds tomorrow, he'll be delighted!
