Thought about getting one for DH, maybe 'Scene It?'

Any views on this or other games please?

I've played 'Atmosfear' at a friend's house - that was good. ds1 got the Harry Potter 'Scene It' last year and we all enjoyed it - there are lots of film clips but also word puzzles etc to unscramble a character's name. Don't know if the adult version is similar

ps I'm not normally into films at all so I'd be rubbish at the adult one - I can only play Harry Potter because we've seen all the films!

I wondered about the HP one for my dds, what sort of age group is it?

HP scene it says 8+, but I think children of that age would need a bit of help. Some of the questions involve things like anagrams of characters' names - the letters float round on the screen and you only have 20 seconds to answer.
Plus there are 'muggle' questions which are mainly about the actors - eg Mrs Weasley is played by Julie Walters, name one of the 2 films for which she has been nominated for an Oscar.
Also - anyone who hadn't seen all the films would be totally lost - even if they'd read the books. Lots of the questions are on a set of cards - in addition to the ones on the DVD.
Other than that there are 'crystal ball' and 'colin's camera' questions where yu have to identify a character or scene as the picture gradually appears.
I think I'd recommend it for 11+ as a game, but it also has a 'party play' mode where the dvd questions come up on the screen and younger children enjoy seeing the clips and interacting with the older ones.

I saw the 8+ and thought dd1 might manage it butwondered about the some of the questions

I'd wait if I were you - there's bound to be a new version once the next film has come out.

think shes probably too young for now anyway.
