You could buy for around £12 nativity costumes

Towelling dressing gown, checked tea towel and plaited rope round head and a stuffed sheep under one arm. No sewing involved!

Pillow case with the correct holes cut out of it.

New Tea Towel.

Braided rope, not dissimilar to this stuff To hold head dress on and also tie in the middle of the pillow case.

Black Plimsolls.

Bobs your Uncle,

According to their Christmas catalogue, Mothercare are doing Nativity outfits this year.

I made one with a bit of old blanket cut into a tabbard, and tied with a piece of thin rope. A tea towel on the head.... again no sewing.

Don't forget his toy sheep! It wouldn't be the same without it. My daughter is also a shepard but the school are making her costume. I did have to supply a brown long sleved top, white tights and ballet shoes. Oh and a sheep of corse so not totally off the hook. Good luck and enjoy the show.
