Its middle of Feb, the bargain thread is dead, no ones really here apart from us old stalwarts.

I hate this time of year.

Feel like I've wandered in to the wrong room but is this a pro Christmas thread... I don't want to piss any one off! Grin

MrsMinton · 16/02/2015 20:23

I'm missing my tree! Xmas Sad

esiotrot2015 · 16/02/2015 20:29

It's nearly pancake day ! And Easter!
Put some twigs in your house with twinkly lights & decorate with mini eggs !

This is why I love Easter. I go totally overboard, I decorate the lounge, I have Easter egg hunts and a special meal.... It's like Christmas, but with a rabbit instead of Santa Grin

Joyfulldeathsquad · 16/02/2015 21:50

Ah I love Christmas even more so now dd2 is a toddler and not crying at the drop of a hat. I pintrested my whole house last year. Cheap as chips. This was my rudolf and Santa ski slope Grin

I really miss the bargain threads. I spent a fecking fortune!

nickdrakeslovechild · 17/02/2015 09:57

Yes me too, never known it so quiet on the Christmas boards. Full of a cold today, so lying in bed feeling crap and all sad Xmas Sad

I am doing lots of Christmas planning on pintrest. I do like Easter so got all the easter decorations out of the loft last week and going to do an easter tree and an easter wreath for the front door.

Joyfulldeathsquad · 17/02/2015 13:37

ColdJerseySpud · 17/02/2015 14:25

I sneaked in here last week but it was so quiet I left again. I'm on the phone app so can't see your pic.

I've started shopping though, my boys are getting desks and chairs, I've seen some really good ikea ones with storage above the desk. I'm stocking up on stationary, paper, stickers glue etc. I keep buying something every week for it.

sillymillyb · 17/02/2015 14:35

I can't see the Santa slide on the app either Hmm

I have been lurking on old threads to get present ideas for ds birthday. He doesn't really need anything after the Christmas extravaganza, but, you know.... He's 3, it's his birthday, He i needs stuff!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/02/2015 17:39

Love the Santa Snow Slide Joyfull Smile

I love Easter too though the decorations (Easter Tree and Easter wreath) don't stay up as long as Christmas ones .

My DC don't do the Easter Egg Hunts now (too old) so we'll have a nice Good Friday meal and go visiting the GrandParents the week after .

lunar1 · 17/02/2015 19:13

Turned my laptop on just so i could see your picture, Its lovely!

MrsMinton · 17/02/2015 19:35

Lovely snow slide Smile

Joyfulldeathsquad · 17/02/2015 19:49

Thank you lot SmileIt cost £4 to do and I can reuse next year! Dp thought I was going over the top! Angry lol

silly what are you thinking for him?

lunar that a great idea. My local sure start sell arts and craft stuff extremely cheap, maybe yours might?

70 I never heard of an Easter tree till this thread going to have a look at that Smile

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/02/2015 12:55

ah Joyful Easter Trees are A Thing a thing of beauty Smile

I got some twigs (about 5' long) bound the thick end, pushed into a tub of putty to set then painted white. The putty tub goes into a nice felt Easter bucket .
Decorated with little pastel eggs (Pound Shop).

I made a Hallowe'en Tree last year (black painted twigs, skulls, bats, couple of black cats, a huge spider and a £shop doll wrapped in masking tape and cobwebby stuff then more cobwebby stuff on the tree). 'Twas lovely .

MrsMinton · 18/02/2015 13:04

I have a white wishing tree from the range and I put little eggs at easter and bats etc at Halloween. Then christmas it has bells on and new year it has wishes on.
