Okay - after the mammoth stocking thread, I'm fine for small ideas for their stockings. owever, I have absolutely no ideas what to get dd1, 11 and dd2, 9 for Christmas this year. Not mp3 players, mobiles etc and no plastic tat - otherwise I'm open to any suggestions at all! Thanks ever so much xx

Thanks guys; much appreciated, though tbh they are not really that into electronicish stuff either - sorry, I should have said. I'd be sooo grateful for any more suggestions; are there any websites for really lovely things for girls that are a bit different to the usual Bratz dolls etc?

Are they still actually into toys? My dd (9) is mostly getting clothes and books, maybe a boardgame, cd, dvd, craft kit as well.

20Q (spooksRus suggestion) is ace and if your kids havn't seen one they will be amazed.

Are either of them getting into jewellery? What about one of those huge boxes of card making stuff and stampers?

KTeepee - you're right; it's not really toys I'm thinking of - I'm just struggling to think of alternatives. We tend to buy clothes as needed and books and dvds as the ones that they want come out, so they don't really feel very "special" although they always get books in their stockings.

I like the idea of a boardgame and Weredog I'm liking the idea of jewellery - do you happen to know any good sites for pretty and/or quirky childrens' jewellery? Maybe charm bracelets?

The card-making stuff is a fab idea too.

Keep em coming girls!!!
