After two weeks of family fun it all ends tomorrow. I am a total Christmas addict - love everything about the Christmas period and we have had a fantastic time. But DH goes back to work tomorrow and the rellies leave as well. I will have the DC x 2 to keep me busy but also a real sense that these are the tail end days of the best time of the year. I could cry which is a bit pathetic really!!

How do you make the aftermath fun? I need to stop tomorrow becoming a sad end to the festivities - it all flew by so fast. Will be nice to get the house back I suppose Grin but we had so much fun preparing, planning and getting excited that I feel a bit lost.

Is anyone else as mad as me?

OP, that's a galette, baked for Epiphany :)
You have to have charms to put in it, whoever gets the charm is the king/queen :)

I start planning for next christmas.

I am also going to put up decorations for valentines, St Patrick's, easter and halloween so there is other stuff to look forward to.

I am a Christmas nut but I actually like the days getting longer and looking forward to spring.

Now the tree is down I think we need a smaller tree next year because my living room now seems twice as big!

Just says on another thread, us the galette the Roscon de Reyes?

workatemylife · 04/01/2015 19:28

DAVROS - yes. I have seen it described as French and Spanish but the basic idea seems the same. Do you make it?

No but I have eaten it in Madrid

We did it! Tree and decorations down, house clean, nice table setting for the 'final' meal already done Grin DD was fantastic and seemed keen to get on with it and the youngest helped packing up. I almost cried but now it is all done, onward and upward to some serious January planning - for me!! here's to a happy 2015 - including next Christmas Grin
