Help quick question- broken trike

My dh has just started to assemble my ds's trike and parts are missing. Am quite upset but remembered we have a tilt n turn three wheel scooter put away for his birthday in the summer. The scooter says age 3 plus my ds is 2.5 years and not particularly tall. Does anyone know if the scooter will work as an alternative or do we need to brave the shops tomorrow for a new trike?
Am so annoyed at amazon.

I would give him the scooter. You'd be surprised what they can accomplish on one, even if they haven't got the size to scoot properly yet, or the hang of it. DS2 isn't 2 til January and he pushes big brother's micro scooter while walking either side of it, he will have fun and you can send the shit trike back. Exchange it for a little balance bike for his birthday.

Give him the scooter, ds2 was a whizz on one by 2. Ds1 rode a bike at 3. Neither of them mastered a trike as they couldn't reach the pedals Hmm
