Can we have a Pre-Christmas Cleaning list motivation thread? Think i'm gonna need it over the next few days!

I'" trying to get through mine today, but with an almost 1yo it is proving difficult! Two loads of washing are clean and dried, net curtain is currently in the machine, all upstairs windows are open to air out the house. Still need to put the washing away, clean the kitchen, wash our bedding, wash the cot bedding, hoover everywhere, mop kitchen and conservatory, and wrap a couple of presents. Then Marzipan and ice the cake, make mince pies, and clean the kitchen again after that! Think I am done then though phew

I need to
Clean the downstairs bathrooms
Change the beds
Clean the kitchen
Hoover through and mop floors downstairs
Get rid of the million pairs of shoes we seem to be breeding in the hall.
That's it I think.

Getting there slowly but had to stop again to feed ds's. Tackled the kitchen and utility and the washing machine and tumble dryer haven't stopped all day but the last load is washing atm but it's a hot whites wash so takes ages. I was planning to do all the ironing this evening but have decided school uniform etc can sit in the basket til next week.
A bit more dusting to do before getting the steam cleaner out again then I'll whack the racks in the oven pride bag. Should hoover the sofas really as I haven't done them in a couple weeks and I dread to think how much glitter is lurking!

Can I join in please? I've been at work today - put the laundry and dishwasher on so far. Need to fold and put away 2 more baskets of laundry, tidy playroom and wrap presents tonight. Working all day tomorrow so will need to do cleaning on Xmas Eve - not ideal with kids but will try to get motivated!

I have accomplished a mix of need to do and want to do jobs today.

Bought Turkey, and remembered thyme and baby sausages.
Hoovered.
Emptied dishwasher and refilled, and did last night,s washing up.
Dried dd duvet cover.
Changed our sheets and they are in machine now.
Already did te load of reds in the laundry, on clothes horse.
Remade the guest bed.
Cleared dining table
Scrubbed dining table
Put out candles and nice place mats
Swept floor
Changed all towels , will wash them tomorrow
Folded clean laundry and put it away

I'm in the middle of the chaos that is my bedroom, shoes are tidied, I can see the seat on the chair, but need to finish chair and then tackle dressing table.

Then need a shower before some sleep as I do have work tomorrow. And a late night out tomorrow night.

And I still have a nice long list to tackle on Wednesday after work.

Why do I do this to myself?

Been cleaning for what seems like about the last two days straight.

House is immaculate but nobody apart from me cares and now I'm all grumpy and short tempered because I'm knackered and everyone thinks I'm horrible!

Sad

Just remembered extra things for shopping list.

Croissants to roll out and bake at home.
Stilton and a creamy cheese.
Orangettes
Bin liners for small bins, and compost bin

(Both cheese shop and Leonidas had horrendous Qs at lunchtime - it might be better tonight).

Well I've made more work for myself. The house had a huge thorough clean at the weekend and now that I've just finished a baking session with my oldest dd ( she is 21 and we have had the best afternoon ) I have to tempo the kitchen floor and clean the oven. Worth it though as we have some lovely homemade treats for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
