Broody 15 year old?

Help! I need a gift for a "broody" 15 year old. He apparently likes Americana and things that you keep wrapped in their packaging. I am at a loss. It needs to be around £15-20 and be ordered from Amazon. Any ideas??

Oh broody as in teenager rather than wanting a baby

Josie314 · 16/12/2014 22:26

By "things that you keep wrapped in their packaging" I mean the type of collector's items you put on display fully wrapped.

What do you mean by broody? Only meaning I know is wanting a baby

Josie314 · 16/12/2014 22:28

Lol- yes he doesn't want a baby! That was bad wording, but it is how my MIL described him to me when I asked for her help. She then said if she had an idea, she would have bought it herself.

I think it means: philosophical, deep, thoughtful, quiet etc

Maybe : music, clothes, books?

Josie314 · 16/12/2014 22:30

Google says:

Broody - thoughtful and unhappy

Stealthpolarbear · 16/12/2014 22:31

Nirvana cd (prob showing my age)
£20 note - then he can brood slightly richer

Jinglebells99 · 16/12/2014 22:32

I think you mean brooding? Rather than broody! Cos I think that just means wanting a baby. I think you need more info as to what he collects?

traviata · 16/12/2014 22:35

a portable speaker

a cover for ipad/phone etc if you can find out what he has by way of gadgets

metal wall poster

a copy of On the Road and a Marlon Brando film

PacificDogwood · 16/12/2014 22:37

Yes, 'brooding', not broody, thank goodness Grin

Some Steampunk stuff? T-shirt?

DandyHighwayman · 16/12/2014 22:37

Stealthpolarbear · 16/12/2014 22:39

A my littl pony might just get through in the irony stakes
And it could be displayed in its box
But not the ever irritating pinkie pie

PacificDogwood · 16/12/2014 22:39

Amazon has some cufflinks and 'Victorian' goggles

PacificDogwood · 16/12/2014 22:39

Would he be interested in Pop Vinyl figures? They're collectible and according to DS you absolutely cannot play with them... They are for looking at Hmm

www.funko-pop-vinyl.co.uk

That's the original site but I have seen them on Forbidden Planet and Amazon

turdfairynomore · 16/12/2014 22:54

DD20 has bought DS17 a condom shaped memory stick thingy!!!! I hope it's the only sort of one he needs to use!!

Josie314 · 17/12/2014 03:51

Thanks for all the suggestions - really useful! Hopefully I'll be able to pull together something he will find acceptable. :-)

I thought this was going to be a very different thread. Grin

ScrabbledLeggsAndToes · 19/12/2014 20:23
