To wrap stocking presents or not?

I don't usually wrap stocking presents as most of things I put in them are tiny and hard to wrap but I am considering doing it this year to give me more time in bed whilst the dd's unwrap them ( but I don't know if I can be bothered to wrap lots of tiny things ).

Do you wrap or not?

I really CBA to wrap the stocking presents.

In fact not all the presents under the tree will be wrapped as Santa knows that little children want their gifts to be out of the box and ready to play with!

I wrap the presents under the tree, they have quite a few which is why I don't tend to wrap the stocking gifts, I might wrap a few this year, they are not used to having them wrapped so it might be a bit suss if they are all wrapped.

I wrap them but in tissue paper not ordinary wrapping paper.

PesoPenguin · 10/12/2014 16:45

No, the stocking is the wrapping!

bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 10/12/2014 16:48

Yeah wrapped in tissue. One colour for each child. I can't remember if mine were wrapped as a child?? I think it's nice for them to have more to unwrap cos that's half the fun Smile

MisguidedGhost · 10/12/2014 16:51

Yep I wrap all stocking pressies apart from the choccies and satsuma Grin

MegBusset · 10/12/2014 19:54

I wrap everything except the chocolate coins, cereal packet and tube of sweets. It's how my mum did it and also takes longer to open everything! I also colour code so I don't have to put tags on stocking presents. My DC never give a moment's thought to whether the wrapping paper is the same as presents from Mum and dad!

DamselNotInHerDress · 10/12/2014 20:57

Of course you wrap stocking presents!
3 different types of paper, 1 for each stocking, also different from any other paper used at home.
Opening presents is half the excitement.

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 10/12/2014 20:59

I wrap in tissue paper (no sellotape!)

PingPongBat · 10/12/2014 21:05

I've always wrapped. But in different paper to all other presents, to avoid being rumbled Xmas Grin. This worked fine until MIL decided to 'help' by bringing stock presents ready wrapped IN COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PAPER Xmas Angry. Hadn't she read the stocking paper rules ???

She is now banned from providing stocking presents.

Mind you, DS & DD are teenagers now, so the separate paper is more of a tradition than a necessity now.

scratchandsniff · 10/12/2014 21:09

Ours were never wrapped when I was a kid but then again I was a twin and had other siblings too. So not surprising that mum couldn't be arsed to do it.

I have wrapped DS's

PogoBob · 10/12/2014 22:33

Another who will be wrapping stocking presents in tissue paper

WD41 · 10/12/2014 22:35

Wrapped but in different paper. I look for the really cheap thin papery type.
