What's the budget? iTunes, Xbox, Amazon or Game voucher, trendy t-shirt or something sports related. Buy something off Amazon and get it sent directly. Magazine subscription using tesco vouchers then it's free!

Not huge maybe £7? Good plan re amazon though.

Any books that might be good?

The Hunger Games trilogy? I got it for £5.99 in TK Maxx. My ds loves The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings,Philip Pullman, Percy Jackson and the Rick Riordan books. But dd (10) loves books set in world war 2 especially Judith Kerr's books based on her childhood and adolescence - when hitler stole pink rabbit fir example - but she also loves Michael Morpurgo (she's 11) while ds (12) has kind of moved away from him. Individual choice and preference though! You could get an annual or book like Ripley's Believe it or Not, or Guiness Book of Records.
