Chocolate coins?

Did I read somewhere that Cadbury are no longer doing these?

Haven't noticed them in the shops but haven't really looked IYKWIM

The Oxfam shops sell the fair trade Divine chocolate coins. They do dark chocolate ones as well. In the supermarkets you need to look in the Christmas confectionery aisle rather than the usual sweets aisle.

You can get chocolate coins, just not Cadbury's. Cadbury's is rank anyway.

I always buy the Divine ones - kids seem to enjoy them! They have the added bonus that I get milk for DS and dark for DD (their preference), which means they come in different coloured foil so they don't get them mixed up and fight about who has eaten all of theirs.

My DH is an area manager for Kraft and he's said they stopped making them as everyone buys the cheaper ones. We always buy aldi ones as they were far tastier anyway...

I got some from Aldi or Lidl, can't remember which I've bought at least one of nearly every Christmas treat item from both shops and they're in a big box under the bed and no-one knows about them except me.

Aldi (who's chocolate is far nicer), Primark and Poundland all sell them.

Marzipan does your DH know if Cadbury's use Palm Oil or not? I have asked them but they avoid answering by giving me links to things that don't have the answer.

I get the aldi ones as they are 50p.

I remember last year, ds was amazed by them. It's chocolate. It's money. The perfect item.

I got mine from primark because they were different colours and they seemed to quite a lot in them.

I saw them in Aldi today for 50p. I bought the nets of chocolate snowmen though.

Thank you girly! I wanted the a Divine ones so much, we got them last year and they were amazing but every online store that sells them charges a ridiculous delivery fee so this will save me on that! Will have to pop into Oxfam and get some soon...

Cadburys have discontinued them this year, I can't actually say I remember cadbury chocolate coins ever being a thing anyway. We always just had generic supermarket ones growing up.

Do they still make the itst bitsy chocolate bars that go into the toy vending machines? Far better than coins - cuter!

I get them from Wilkinson's - they do buy one, get one free.

Buzzard DH said that lots of their products are palm oil free except generally ones with caramel and soft centres. Then they use a little but from a sustainable source.

Wirecat Tesco do a big bag with notes and coins, £3 a net though. Smaller net of choc coins are only 49p.

I just gave away a net of Sainsbury's chocolate coins because I sneaked one that was for the DCs' advent calendar and it was disgusting.

The M&S and Thorntons ones are nice.

Lidl's are much nicer than the big four supermarkets or Cadburys have ever been.

The Lidl ones also have notes in and are only £1 I think.

Aldi coins for us. Hate Cadbury.
