First magic set for 4yo

I think my 4yo (he's a young 4) would like a magic set for Xmas but I'm struggling to find something suitable. They all seem a bit complicated for him. Has anyone bought anything similar?

I'm thinking fairly basic, wand, hiding sponge balls under cups, flowers/flags up the sleeve type stuff, maybe a magic hat?

suggests 4+

Or what about a costume like this and some individual tricks - we have a dissapearing insect and a broken rope like this but different brand

I would not buy a Magic Set for a 4 year old.

I would instead buy a black top hat and beautiful cape, plus a few magic tricks to go along side the costume such as: Magic Colour Changing Hanky, Folding Coin Magic Trick, and Multiplying Sponge Balls Magic Trick. I would also buy some silly practical jokes too, such as a whoopy cushion :)

Thanks for the suggestions Smile

DS just had a magician come to his 4th birthday and we bought him this magic set. It's for ages 4+ and he loves it. There are a few tricks he can do himself and some he needs a glamorous assistant for Wink. He loves the rabbit hand puppet too. Would definitely recommend it.
