Stocking Fillers for 21mo

Looking for non tatty, cheap stocking fillers for my DS.

So far thinking;

*expanding flannel
*satsuma
*raisins
*toy car

any other ideas?

also thinking for me and DP; both pushing 30, non drivers on a v. tight budget. ideas anyone?

ps i have read the other threads but there's nothing that applies to us

I picked up doc mcstuffins and sophia the first socks and hair care set in pound world for 1yr old dd.

DS was 21 months old last Christmas.

sculpting foam type thing for the bath

How about these dinosaurs, you could wrap them seperately and they could be five stocking fillers.

I got them for my son for Christmas, I think they are slightly weird looking personally but they came highly recommended.

Pretty much everything was in the sale and under a couple of pounds/under £2 anyway/free/on Boots advantage card points - I estimate I spent nearly exactly £20 in total on the stocking, which I think isn't too extravagant

Good idea on the raisins, I might borrow that - DD not normally allowed them but I have a spare pack I removed from a Waitrose children's lunch bag!

Poundland do great socks :)
At that age they really don't mind what's in the stocking so I would do big things to fill it up, and don't be afraid to put things you'd normally need in there too, like bubble bath and nice cutlery set, plate etc.
Other ideas:
Bouncy ball (3yo ds asked for this!)
Goodies selection box
Board books (poundland have great selection usually)
Character plate, beaker etc
Balloon?
First washable markers

DS was that age last year. My advice is that 4 presents (including a 'main one) is more than enough. He was completely uninterested in anything after opening the toy toaster. Save your money for future years!

small choc thing ? Snowman or similar

Im goig for stuff that needs no or very little help to play with.

Last year, when my dd was that age, I remember getting her:
Tube of white chocolate buttons (Poundland)
Peppa slides and bobbles, and comb/mirror kit (both Poundland)
Tub of chunky crayons from Wilkos, about £1.25
This year, things I'm getting her which would also be suitable for younger children include:
Wooden castanets, £1 off eBay including delivery
Cheetah hand puppet, £1 off eBay including delivery
Toy Thomas train, couple of pounds off eBay I think.
Peppa magic painting book, which was about £3 from The Book People or similar.
Stickers - 2 packs for £1 from Poundland, wide range of themes available.

missrabbit im with you there. he has 3 presents off us (spent about £20) plus some clothes to open 'properly' but i want to get into the habit of a stocking too

can i just ask too, do you wrap stocking gifts? neither me nor DP or anyone I know in rl has ever done them you see

Yy - my advice would be give him the thing you're most excited about first, otherwise they'll be fascinated with a pair of £1 caster nets and the toy kitchen you've been desperate to show them (or whatever) will go ignored!

It's like you need to switch the order around with little ones - older children you'd probably work up to a finale!

Or maybe I'm just a control freak who was looking forward to playing with the toy kitchen a lot myself!!!! :)
