How young for a Nerf?

Would love to know what's the youngest your DC had a Nerf? And also which one? My sister is debating if her 5.5 year old is too young?

FWIW I think he's a wee bit young but then again I don't really know what they are

I've got my 3.5 yr old a small one as I've got one for his older sisters 6yrs and 9yrs

Erm 2.5 but that's because his older half brother got one as did his teenage uncle ( and Grandad!).

My 5 year old has one. I'm not sure which one as he's had it since last Christmas. There are loads of different ones, the bigger ones would be too hard for a 5 year old to use but the smaller ones would be okay. They're really easy to use its just the size that makes some too hard to use at that age.

The Entertainer are usually good for nerf guns as they're cheaper and the staff should be able to give you an idea of which one would be small enough and they often have one or two on display so you can see the size of it.

Ok Thanks for that. She has it in her head that they can have different triggers, I guess she just doesn't want Santa to land with one and poor DN can't pull the trigger on it.
