Starting a pre - Christmas health kick. Anyone else?

53 days to go until the big day, but probably only 38 days to go until the season gets into full swing. For me, that means more booze than usual, 3 course meals and chocolates galore. I like to be able to indulge in nice food at Christmas, so will be starting my November health kick and wondered if anyone else wanted to join me? No prescriptive diet to follow, just a conscious effort to cut down on booze (im going to try and cut out), make healthy food choices and cut down on treat foods. Today, I have upped my veggies and avoided bread, no crisps or afternoon chocolate biscuit! The idea is to get to Christmas a few pounds lighter so that the rich Christmas foods and selection boxes do not impact too unkindly on my waistline. Damage limitation if you will.

Well I was 1lb lighter this morning than yesterday morning so day 1 went well!!! I've had a bowl of shreddies, some pasta with tomato sauce and having omelette and salad for tea. I've no idea how many calories but I've been feeling quite hungry today so definitely less than I usually do.

I've got a really long day at work tomorrow at an exhibition so I'm guessing I'll be eating more Sad

Well today has gone ok, I had a sandwich at lunch (no crisps...small change but impressive for me) and then mustard chicken, sweet corn and rice for dinner. Trying to drink more particularly when I feel hungry! The next challenge is to keep going tomorrow...I am often a one day wonder on a diet!
Also trying to epilator legs and underarms as I am a yeti at the moment!!

I've had weetabix, brazil nuts, banana and seeds for breakfast, salad for lunch, cashew nut stir fry for tea and a bag of wotsits. Lots of veggies and some healthy protein (ignoring the fat content of nuts!). My boiler has broken down and I've managed not to reach for chocolate and wine so I'm proud of that!

I've had no booze today and no sweets or crisps, I'm quite shocked at myself! Must go and take vitamins and drink water now. Well done everyone.

I cracked and had a hot chocolate last night, but it was only an options so that is good. Right now to drag my bum out of bed for work...I literally have a million things to do today which is never good on the diet front! I will be good today. I have never been on a thread like this (other than to say I am joining in and then never gone back), it is so good to have someone to be accountable to! Thank you.

I've been very good today. I'm starving now and DH has 'cooked' as I worked later. I've got a plate of oven chips Hmm. He only has to cook once a week!
