Please help, I have no idea what to get him this year, he's always a struggle as he never really wants anything (the type that'll come home with all his holiday money).
He has all the 'main' present type ideas like a bike and that, we don't really have an ideal place for skateboarding or anything, last years cinema voucher is still nearly full, he has an old iPhone of ours for games but never wants new games or songs so iTunes voucher no good (or very exciting!)
He has a birthday in nov so is getting his football team membership and new football shirt but I am so stuck for Christmas!
Thanks if you have any ideas for a boy who seems to have no firm interests!

Does he like crafts? I always enjoyed making things. Candle making kits/ship building/lego etc?

Tickets for a big football match? Or is there some other 'experience' he'd enjoy - going to a play, or tickets to a theme park (to be used in the summer), coaching in something he enjoys?

My 8 year old DS loves lego, remote control helicopter and the Xbox. We are a little stuck this year too.

Thank you all- perhaps theme park tickets might be the way to go and lots of small bits to open, I never thought I'd want a child who wanted more stuff but he's so difficult to buy for!

my son (9) came back from a friends last week and they had been using a wood burning pen to write things on bits of wood.He is desperate for one for Christmas now. He will also spend hours playing Knex and wants more Knex despite having 2 box fulls. He made a lifesize skeleton this week, keeps him quiet for ages! Also loves lego and anything scientific. Magic tricks.

My 8 year old DS loves his bow and arrow (we made him a target in the garden), his micro chargers and anything to do with The Hobbit. He likes outdoors things, like a tent, nice sleeping bag, camping lantern, little camping stove and so on.

Maybe speak to a friend of his...

Pets are a big favourite with boys of that age I know, anything from guinea pigs to lizards (but more of a commitment than an XBox!).

Making stuff as vdb says is also always popular.
