Do you do outdoor decorations?

A few of the houses in our village have been decorated with outdoor lights for Diwali and they look so pretty! We have never decorated the outside of our home before, mostly because of the area we used to live in; anything that wasn't nailed down would have been stolen. However, this year we have moved to a lovely village in a more affluent area and I am considering some icicle lights across the front of the house. Do you decorate outdoors? What do you do? Pictures would be gratefully received! Grin

We aren't very OTT about it, just a row of white lights across the top of the porch and garage door. We need something as DS was just so excited by all the pretty lights as a toddler. I don't want to do a lot because I don't spend a lot of time looking at the outside of my house! But it is nice to drive home to the lights twinkling.

There's a few round us who go mental and I shudder at the thought of their January electricity bill Grin

I cant get out side lights I did a small string with battery .....

and got some dirt cheap decs for outside, some tast ful things from homebase 70% off, a wreath and stuff for pots

Just a wreath and possibly a little conifer in a pot, decorated, on the step by the front door. No outside lights, but a big lit snowflake inside kitchen window.

I put white fairy lights in the trees/bushes. It looks pretty. Oh and a wreath on the door if that counts?

My lights are solar ones.

I love these ideas. Trying to convince DH we need a 'santa stop here' sign for our back garden!
