someone posted on the latest Christmas list that they were possibly getting one of these for their ds which got me thinking. How do they work; does anyone have one of these already and if so what type/feedback etc???

Ds has a Nexus 10 tablet so would need to work in conjunction with that

I haven't a clue as you can tell but very keen as I know ds would LOVE something like this

Thanks all

DS and Dh have been doing Lego animations with our basic web can and the Linux stop motion software. If you search google play store for stop motion quite a few options seem to be available. I presume they allow you to use the tablets own camera so you wouldn't need anything else.

We find we have to help DS quite a bit to get things set up, get the camera in the right place etc. Once set up he can move the figures and take the photos. The software has an option to playback the movie so far so he can see what he's doing. He does need help exporting the final move files though. He's 7.

thank you; he's 10 and adept at handling the nexus so will look into that

DS has this one and is very happy with it, but I have no idea abut compatibility with the Nexus.

My 8yo DS has been using the app Lego Movie Maker with an ipad to make lego/playmobil stop motion movies. The app is really easy to use, the tricky part is, as a previous poster wrote, to position the ipad so that it doesn't move. But I was considering adding to this somehow, haven't thought it through yet though.
