Advent calendar with decorations?

My SIL has a lovely advent calendar, each door has a decoration in it which can be hung on the tree. She has had it for years and can't remember where it is from but I'd love to have one.

I've tried to google but can't find anything like it. Anyone seen similar or know where to get one?

I was just coming in here to see if anyone knew about these types of advent calendars! I've just seen one on the selfridges website, but it's £55!! Shock

£55, goodness me, a bit more than I was hoping! My SIL is usually fairly frugal so I'm sure she wouldn't have paid so much. She has had it for many years though so maybe they were just cheaper then.

Just had a look at the Selfridges website and I'm quite taken with the nail varnish advent calendar!

I was in Paperchase today and they had a small wooden tree with 24 tiny mini decorations to hang on it for £12.99. This would work well if you already had a wooden advent calendar. They also had a box of 48 tiny hanging decorations (good for 2 kids) but had no tree.

That paper chase one is very pretty, and very similar to the selfridges one in style. Perhaps I could get a cheap set of advent drawers and create a set. Hmm

That is a brilliant option for me as I already have a fabric advent calendar that you fill yourself (thank you MIL) . Similar to this www.amazon.co.uk/Christmas-Direct-XMAS-PR-274-Fabric-Calendar/dp/B00630R5Y0/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1413656916&sr=8-6&keywords=fabric+advent+calendar

For the last few years I've only filled with sweet treats but I can def see getting the paperchase tree and fill with those decorations.

Meant to add a thank you to everyday and MummyBoo

Last year/year before Paperchase also had little nativity character and other little wooden hanging decorations you could buy separately from a tree. I put them in the pockets of a hanging calendar we have and the DCs put them on our Christmas tree.

:)

That's ok seagull, I've actually found a cheaper supplier of the self ridges one, less than £30! Smile
However as I can't afford to get it until the first week of November, I'm not gunna share until then! Grin

A hanging fabric one with the decs for the paper chase tree sounds like a great idea!

seagulldown · 19/10/2014 08:48

Grin let us know when you've bought it!

I will def use the calendar I have got and get some paper chase decorations to add to it.

If you know anyone with Costco membership they have one at the mo and usually do one every year
