I don't know. Is it far away from the camera?

Why photograph it, by the way?

NorwaySpruce · 13/10/2014 11:17

Because things like finger lights/tiddly winks/annuals take up the same room on your list as giant Playmobil sets and Lego.

But that doesn't carry over into taking up the same amount space in your present pile obviously Grin

And yes, why are you photographing them? And now that you have, will you upload it here please (and no one at all will pile in to tell you you have too much, too little, all the wrong stuff etc.)? Grin

I always like to take a photo of the living room after it's all set up on Christmas Eve.

But this back-fired last year. As DH and I were still trying to wake up on Christmas morning DS helps herself to DH's iPhone and wonders why we already have a photo of what Father Christmas has left when we haven't even been down yet!!!

Never again will I take a photo!!

(oct is a bit odd though OP - assure us you have a sound reason, please?)

I've not taken photos myself but I get what you mean - a lot of the things I get DCs - and I don't mean tat but really long-thought-out presents - are small!

Quite often some of the presents I'm most excited about are in the stockings so it ends up looking like not much.

They are always very happy with what they are given though - you must avoid The Twitch, I'm sure they've got plenty!

TrisisFour · 14/10/2014 14:34

Jersey, you've been on the Bargain threads since day one (just like me although I NCd half way through) so if you've bought as many of the suggestions as I have, believe me they have plenty! Wink Grin

I've put DD's pile away and I'm not getting it out again until it is time to wrap. She has no need for more stuff. I'm not going to twitch this year. Im reslly not. Honestly. I've bought both DH and dd really good presents. Just have my parents and one of my brothers to do now. I know as soon as I start wrapping I will get twitchy so I'm avoiding looking at the presents now!

o0 · 14/10/2014 18:17

I've photographed my two DS's piles. It's so I can remind myself that I do NOT need to buy loads more. The twitch will not get me.

Jersey, I always find that when wrapped it looks so much more.

cooki3monst3r · 14/10/2014 20:05

o0 "do NOT need to buy loads more"

Does that mean buying a 'little' more doesn't count as twitching?

I could adopt those rules!!

Well I still need to buy a few. And they were already on my list. So totally don't count. Grin

cooki I always take a photo too but backfired when DD looked at the iPad and said "did Father Christmas take a photo of me?" I had taken a photo of the stocking filled with gifts on the floor by the bedroom door and DD in the background sleeping in bed.

cooki3monst3r · 14/10/2014 20:42

I use that trick on DH

"Don't buy anything not on the list"

[frantically fill list with everything imaginable!] Grin

DS wooden farm, tractor and Land Rover turned up today. I can't wait!!!!

cooki3monst3r · 14/10/2014 21:18

masynywlad eek... good job our LOs trust us implicitly... Hmm
