Do you decorate the childrens' bedrooms?

I'm idly browsing the christmas decorations on a few sites, and wondering about the kids' bedrooms - they just don't normally feel very christmassy at all. We've got some battery operated fairy lights, and stick some of those snowflakes on their windows.

What do you have?

How do you decorate the bathroom?

KnittedJimmyChoos · 15/10/2014 19:24

Why the sad face knitted?

Grin because I want it soo bad and have not the ££ nor the space!

If you are near a homebase have a quick look they had a great display today of trees and animals, but the trees were off the narnia set Sad.

slightly bigger house and ££ I would have got maybe one larger snow tree, and two or three smaller ones....

How do you decorate the bathroom

In ours just a few decs here and there standing one, snow man , some baubles, but our bathroom is quite large.

Guitargirl · 15/10/2014 20:05

Ah, I see what you mean knitted. I like that second one you linked to. I am planning on Frozenifying our kitchen/eating area this year. It's going to be a surprise for the DCs for when they wake up on Dec 1st, have been collecting different things for the decorations and am very excited about it! Those trees would be great but we really don't have enough space and I wouldn't be able to justify the cost. I am trying to tell myself that the things would probably look a bit naff in our wee kitchen and just get in the way.

KnittedJimmyChoos · 15/10/2014 20:53

Grin I know, how can one justify the cost!

I like the sound of your kitchen!! what sort of things have you got?

Guitargirl · 15/10/2014 21:25

Aaargh, am so tempted to get one....I keep eyeing up the space near the plug point where I could plug in the lights!

So, I have some paper pom poms in different shades of pale blue and white and snowflake hanging decorations for the ceiling. A ceiling to floor piece of turquoise fabric with silver snowflakes to hang in the patio window and lights to hang behind it. Blue and white snowflake window stickers. Turquoise table cloth and silver snowflake runner. Turquoise cake stand. White lit-up twig tree and 12 mini frozen tree decorations to hang on it. Small plush figures of Olaf, Sven, Ana and Elsa. Blue icicle lights to hang across the doorway.

(And possibly a snow covered half Christmas tree from homebase!)

AtlanticDrift · 15/10/2014 21:30

I want a frozen kitchen too!

Guitargirl · 15/10/2014 21:33

Oh, I forgot and some frozen themed ribbon to tie back the cream curtains so that the blue fabric is more visible. I am totally outing myself here by the way if anyone I know is reading this (but I think am the only Christmas fanatic amongst my friends).

KnittedJimmyChoos · 15/10/2014 23:18

guitar I actually settled myself in seat to read your post, its so lovely, it sounds wonderful!! what a wonderful surprise for them, particularly love sound of pom poms, and snowflakes from ceiling and table cloth and runner....there is something about things hanging from the ceiling thats says Christmas....

I have to say, your kitchen doesn't sound pokey by any means you have room for a table in there....ours doesn't....

I think you could fit some trees in....

Laundryangel · 15/10/2014 23:24

M&S have Xmas themed bath mats. I resisted last year but think I will get one this year. Probably just for the DC's bathroom though.

KnittedJimmyChoos · 16/10/2014 09:51

It will be one of their activities (to find them) from the wooden advent calendar!!

Just seen the post before me, yep! That's them!

Guitargirl · 17/10/2014 14:27

I have caved and ordered one of those trees - knitted - I blame you!! Grin

AtlanticDrift · 17/10/2014 18:15

Guitar I was in the garden centre today and saw mini white christmas trees and thought of your frozen kitchen table!
I saw some amazing harry potter themed trees on pinterest. I'd love to do one for my ds room

Guitargirl · 17/10/2014 18:21

Atlantic - mini frozenesque trees sound great! I think I am nearly there now with all the bits and pieces. Am spending too much time on Pinterest trying to visualise how it's going to look. I have informed DP that his services will be required on the evening of November 30th. He looked quite hopeful until he realised that it's his height I need to help me stick stuff on the ceiling!
