Cabbage patch dolls?

Are they going to be a big hot this Christmas? 30 year anniversary apparently (I feel so old now as got one for my 8th birthday)

Anyway saw the standard doll in costco for £14.99 and brought one for dd (8). Have googled and can only find twinkle toes ones for £35, which I'm thinking dd might prefer as she has twinkle toe trainers that she loves. So debating taking the costco one back and getting a twinkle toe from argos.

Will they sell out? I'm not keen on the new hair it's the nylon barbie type hair. I'm guessing so children can brush it.

Spend ages in costco trying to find one with the same date of birth as dd but couldn't find 16th march.

I so wanted one as a child and was looking at them wistfully whilst touring Smyths this afternoon. My Mum thought they were ugly so I never had one...

Have been looking at them (the wool headed ones) on eBay.....

I saw them in B&M last week :)

My aunt went to Smyths last week to get two, and the staff member told her they were becoming like gold dust. I think she ended up ordering them from Argos. She ordered the twinkle toes ones. Although I also saw them in B&M Smile

I went to b&m today and no cabbage patch dolls at the reading one. Should have popped over to Smyths while I was there. I'm now thinking I will buy the twinkle ties one for dd and give the costco one to my god daughters daughter.

I also coveted at CPD when I was little and never got one, so DD got one for her third birthday earlier in the year... hardly plays with it! But has seen the Twinkle Toes version and Ooooooh over it!

I've shown them to my daughter in the hopes that she would want one but nope she's not having it Sad Blooming Baby born and Lalas.

I still have my one that sings and talks but it's freaky.

Uh oh.

They'll probably sell quite a few through making mothers feel nostalgic, then they'll buy them for their daughters Smile

Cabbage patch dolls are always popular at christmas. They have been for a very long time. The entertainer usually have them in at christmas for cheap prices.
