Candle recommendations please?

I have no idea about candles but my Dad likes them and I'd like to put one in his hamper. Where is your favourite from?

Clinton’s do a lovely own range of Xmas candles , about half the price of Yankee Candles

If you are only looking for a token gift then Home Bargains candles are really nice. They have a nice gift set at the minute with mini votive in a Christmas tree shaped box. My favourites are gingerbread and the spiced apple.
