I got one of these for our town last year. We loved it in our house. It has loads of local landmarks mentioned. No option to personalise for names though.

My DS got a Mr Men one for his birthday this year from here - they have other choices too not just Mr Men.

We have a lostmy.name book and it is gorgeous, got them for my nephews too.

They were successful on Dragons Den recently - lovely product.

I find the lost my name ones a bit meh. The rhymes annoy me and the illustrations are all a bit dark and gloomy. DD is starting to like it but I think there ought to be better. When I was little I had a great one, coraltoes was Santa's helper and delivered all the gifts to her friends (insert names) and in the pictures their names where on their stockings etc. this was in the 80s so I'm sure we can find something similar now. I still have a copy!!

Agree coraltoes I had the same book in the 80's, I'd love to get a similar book now.

The lost myname book is dull. Feel bad saying it was it was a gift and they are pricey. But the illustrations are very dark and gloomy, not very childlike at all. It does go on a bit too.

AcheyJakey · 25/09/2014 21:38

Not sure if it's the sort of thing you're after but I've just bought Elfie's Christmas Letters which is a personalised story in the form of letters for December?

AcheyJakey · 25/09/2014 21:39

I've so nearly bought lostmyname so many times but I too find the drawings a bit gloomy. Will look in to the coral toes one. What's it called?? I love Christmas!

Tommetipsy · 27/09/2014 20:34

We've got a lostmyname book and i hate it. Dark and dreary illustrations and dd has zero interest in the book. My eldest dd said it is a weird book and please dont buy me one!!
