The Geeky Christmas Decoration Thread

Inspired by this thread I would like to geekify my tree! Most of our stuff is from my childhood but if I add any new things I would like it to represent our eclectic interests. Can anyone help?

The one thing I really want but have never managed to find is a little gold bust of Sir Isaac Newton (like Sheldon has on BBT) :o

Anyone have any ideas or places where you can get nerdy baubles? Maths, sci fi, anime, classical music, anything really!

Try etsy.com.
I have had some handmade, bespoke stuff from there and been very happy with it.
You can also message sellers and ask for things to be made...your Isaac Newton bust for instance .)

A few years ago, there were baubles of heads of Star Wars characters. They seem to have vanished from the shops (even Forbidden Planet).

I'll do the rounds again this year, but has anyone seen any?

Get thee to pinterest!

Ohhh some great stuff on Pinterest thanks!

Genuine LOL at "chemistree" :o

Seeing some of the felt decorations I'm wondering if just maybe I could make something myself if I found some geeky material somewhere.

Lego is a possibility too!

Not Christmassy, but I love the "Bake It So" apron on there.

I would like some globes to go on the Christmas tree, I think I have seen some somewhere but can't remember where Sad

fuzzpig · 21/09/2014 12:31

Oh I saw globes somewhere too! Damn. Trying to remember where as I considered getting one.

Possibly the Tate modern shop?! So museum type places?

They were naice old fashioned ones.

I have a fabric Sherlock Holmes which DH really likes, and a fabric clock which I got at the Greenwich observatory.
