I like the idea of doing a hamper but after popcorn maker I can't think of what else to put in it! Any ideas? Presentation ideas will be appreciated too!

A movie! Lol
Share bag of Maltesers/ m&ms etc
Drink ( could be a 4 pack of beer, bottle of wine, bottle of coke if non drinker)
Flavours for the popcorn ( I'm sure someone put a link on her that yiu can get loads in ASDA)

Does he particularly want a popcorn maker? We were bought one, we quite like popcorn, but the maker sits in a cupboard unused. We're not committed poppers.

There's always a movie night hamper in the school raffle. They buy a plastic popcorn carton from the pound shop, put a DVD, a bag of popcorn, some sweets and a bottle of pop in it, then put cellophane and a big now on it. The children all want to win it.

He loves cinema popcorn which was what made me think of it! Don't really want to put chocolate in because we will get loads do popcorn seemed a good idea. Need to think of a movie too. Trying to think of an old classic that he won't have seen!

Im going to get my DH a popcorn maker because we all like pop corn especially the kids. But im going to get some more obscure flavours off amazon/ebay

LEMmingaround · 20/09/2014 18:44

My dd has a pop corn maker you don't get much per go.

I'm doing one for my Dad and his wife. Popcorn maker, popcorn flavours, snuggly throw to put over their laps (£3.90 in Primark), voucher to buy DVDs, chocolates, sweets, hot chocolate, personalised Coke bottles.

personalised coke bottle? plastic cinema style popcorn holder...

This sounds like a great idea. I've already bought DH a DVD, its one of his favourite films and I saw it for £2.99. Love the idea of a share bag, he'd want Minstrels. Will be getting a bag of popcorn, we'd never, ever use a popcorn maker. Might even put a new throw in the bundle too then I could use it after Grin

I do this for fb and dsil. Last year it was a big box wrapped in Christmas paper then filled with tissue paper. They got a bottle of wine, popcorn, mini cheddars and doritos. Sweets, chocolate then a bag of chocolate coins scattered through. A couple of DVDs that they picked out and a couple of bags of treats for the dogs. Wrapped it all in clear cellophane and tied with fancy ribbons and bows. Looked really good. Doing the same this year but will look for a throw now after looking at this thread.

We got rid of the popcorn maker, it's just as easy in a pan or microwave. I also found with the one we had that as the popcorn emerged from the chute into a bowl it all bounced out all over the kitchen, even if you put kitchen roll in the bowl first.
