For a 4 year old?

Does anyone have this and could tell me a bit about it?

He will love it!
My DS has it, he is 6.
The games are fun, you can build your own disney city and play individual games with each disney infinity character. They're easy games. He could also play with the characters as toys! Couldn't recommend enough! x

I'm considering it for my 4 year old too. He likes the look of the new one with being released Spider-Man and all the marvel superheroes. There's a new skylanders out next month too which he also wants, it's all very expensive! Blush

Can anyone explain how it works? Ds1 is getting a 3ds for his birthday and I was thinking of getting disney infinity for Christmas. I just don't understand how it works and what I'd need to buy!

You need to already have a games console eg xbox etc

Then you buy a starter pack which has the little pad thing you put the characters and stuff on, normally includes a couple of characters too

You can then buy extra characters too

It is worth noting that all of the old characters work on the new 2.0 marvel one but the marvel characters won't work on the old one

So if your dc are likely to want marvel stuff then you need the new one

Thanks 3pigs, do you know if it can be used with the 3ds?

NorksEnormous · 20/09/2014 10:24

My DS got a DS3 last year, and my sister kindly bought him the Disney Infinity starter pack. He loves it; definitely his favourite game.
I went into the DisneyStore yesterday to get him the new Marvel 2.0 set for Christmas, but left empty handed. The sales assistant told me that none of the newest range, the 2.0 products, work on Nintendo DSs. However, any Infinity product that is not 2.0 will work on Nintendo DSs. I'm pretty clueless on games, so I hope I've explained this right! Argos and Amazon seem to have some good discounts on the playsets for the original Infinity series at the moment; Cars, Toy Story, Frozen & Lone Ranger. The play sets extend the starter set with new worlds and characters, I think Hmm

Oh that's such a pity march, the old one definately came out for 3ds!
