My DD will be 3 in January and we are so excited to do a little stocking for her for the first time.

Any ideas of what to put in it? Any little things I can get off amazon?

Thanks sooo much!!

There's another thread running at the moment in Christmas about stockings and limiting clutter, lots of ideas on there too Smile

I usually get stuff they need but fun versions, like character socks, toothbrush, flannel, plus a few little figures/vehicles whatever they're into, clementine, few food treats (I do biscuits, chocolate coins, variety pack cereal) a small book, colouring book, stickers, bubble bath, crayons, playing cards/flash cards.

You can usually find that sort of stuff on Amazon.

Last year when my ds was coming up to 3 I also got him a set of ink stamps. This year I'm going to put in a projector torch I think, they're about a fiver and you can get different slides to put in them, zoo animals etc.

I love doing a stocking, and it's always the bit my ds talks about the most!

I have a child older and younger than yours. I get a mixture of gifts, which I give throughout the year eg if we are going on a long car journey

They fall into a few categories:

Practical - toothbrush (a battery one), pjs, hair bands, ruck sack.

Edible - tube of smarties, chocolate Santa or coins

Cheap toys -bubbles, ball, cars or mini figures, books, play dough.

I do pretty much the same as the above two posters. I add socks, knicks and vests as well and sometimes a 12p pack of pocket tissues from Home Bargains (my four yr old loves pocket packs of tissues for some reason Grin )

Do you have a Tiger near you? They have lots of lovely stocking type things.

Here. You can't buy online unfortunately.

I try and put in things that will keep them amused whist I chill out in bed ( they are allowed their stocking whilst we are still in bed ). Stockings usually include :

New tooth brush
Pack of cards ( snap when they were little, trump cards or trading cards as they got older )
Chocolate coins
Novelty plasters ( found moshi monster ones in poundland last year ).
Crayons, pens or pencils
Tub of play dough
Small wind up toy
Whoops cushion
New pants
Bubbles
Balloons
