Hi. Is anyone making their own gifts this year? I did it last year for most people apart from my husband who doesnt like presents anyway x

I'm.planning on making some fancy dress stuff for my niece and nephews. I've seen a simple Frozen dress on pinterest. I made some felt toys last year. I need to get planning as it might be quite time.consuming!

What are you.planning on making?

I got a sewing machine for my birthday and haven't touched it yet so I'm watching with interest for ideas!

Mine are sort of handmade. Every adult who likes lager is getting a carrycase (the ones where the bottles stick out of the top)of beers decorated to look like Rudolphs (brown pipe cleaners twisted round the top for antlers, googly eyes and a red pom pom nose). Stolen idea from Pinterest

I will be. Although I do every year not to mention birthdays and I feel like I'm starting to exhaust the possibilities a bit now, so would really love some new ideas.

I learnt to cross stitch this year so was thinking of making some little make up bags with a cross stitched linen panel in the front.
I usually do some handmade tree decorations that can be used as gift tags too - felt robins and Xmas puds, or knitted mini stockings. Might do ones involving cross stitch this year.

Oh and dp will be making homemade sauces, BBQ and ketchup etc. and I'll decorate the bottles. Anyone know the cheapest place to get nice glass bottles from?

Mostly I'll just do food, but my Game of Thrones loving friends will get a pincushion with the Greyjoy sigil and the words "we do not sew".

I'm going to make some fudge for the token gifts.

We make peppermint bark, cranberry bark and melted snowman cookies for neighbours. The kids love delivering them.

Purchased fabric (a mix of festive and red polkadot) and plain white long sleeve tops to make initial appliqué tops for the DC's and friends kids.
