A hamper for us

As I was flicking through the Lakeland catalogue and drooling I decided what I needed was a hamper for £80 for no reason Sad

I just can't afford to be that frivolous, but I have a toddler and a baby due on Boxing Day and my DH agreed that I can have a healthy budget and make my own hamper Grin Grin

Just picky luxury items I wouldn't normally buy and a couple of fun family things. I've already bought my basket.

What would go in your hamper??

Chocolate. I got the most.amazing.chocolate.hamper from.DH.when I was 7 months pregnant. He went.to a little chocolate.shop.and.bought all these ridiculously expensive.treats. It was amazing.

I.once did a hamper for.my.mum for which I bought.the stuff from Germany. It was little handmade Christmas decorations and nice wmf kitchen.utensils (she did.want kitchen.stuff!)

Posh crackers, rosemary crackers maybe or some of the lovely Gouda cheese thins.

Hotel chocolat chocolates and hot chocolate...

Gourmet popcorns (you can get a GnT flavour one!)

My hamper would provide me with all the ingredients for an indulgent night in by myself (when DH and DS go off on one of their boys' things they do):

my favourite bubble bath (Original Source lavender)
a new book to read whilst in the bath
a lovely scented candle
a bottle of prosecco
new pjs
a box of handmade chocolates
a dvd to watch (something like The Musketeers where I can just drool over beautiful men)

Oh I'm thinking of doing a few hampers for people this year. Could anyone recommend where to get the basket from please?

Lots of ideas! I bpught a non-traditional one from Ikea, but I will get a practical benefit from it afterwards.

I saw a salted caramel sauce and a white chocolate fudge sauce in M&S the other day - they will definitely be in my basket!!!

Good quality chocolate & coffee would go in my hamper.

Also some jams, chutneys and pish biscuits.
