Would like your top tips - scrolling through the bargain page for them is taking an age. A few days into Tassimo use and i've not yet found drinks i really like... The breakfast tea is too strong, hot choc too weak ... PLease share your successes with me.

Re weak hot choc - sometimes there seems to be quite a lot of the syrup left in the pod...am i doing something wrong? Tvmia...

What chocolate are you having? I like the suchard.

The breakfast tea is rubbish. I quite liked one of the green tea ones, and fruits of forest (or similar).

It's best for coffee imo. The Hag decaf is nice.We also like the cappuccino (Costa or the other brand that has slipped out of my head). Latte Macchiato drinks tend to be over sugared. Americanos are good, or some of the Kenco black coffees.

I don't like the milk pods most of the time so cappuccino aside prefer to get the other drinks you can add cold milk to or don't need milk at all.

Great to hear your thoughts! We have tried milka, suchard and cadburys. The suchard is nicest but only makes a teeny cup?

Was disappointed with the latte macchiata - exactly for the reason you said. Relieved you have found ones you like - we have a massive variety pack so will keep working our way through them...

Someone said for the choc pod to put it in a bowl of warm water first to loosen it all up then put into the machine

I never even considered using the Tassimo for tea, its cheap easy and nice by the bag. I just use mine for coffee as I have really gone off instant, I've used the costa americano and kenco, both nice slightly prefer the kenco. I heat milk in the microwave using a bodum milk frother, pump for 30 secs, microwave for another 10 seconds, gently bang the frother on the cork mat to separate milk and foam then pour milk spoon froth sprinkle choc dusty stuff on top - viola just like a bought one Smile

I'll grab some suchard pods when I see them, will be yum when it gets colder :)

Run the chocolate pod under a hot tap for a minute to loosen the chocolate. I've found that then drains all of the chocolate when you use it.

A top tip from me is do not buy the creme brûlée coffee from the online shop as it makes literally a mouthful of drink!

Coffeethrowtrampbitch · 10/09/2014 12:08

You can buy Latte Macchacio (sp) less sweet in the online shop.

I love the carte noir long black, and the Costa Caramel Latte but it is really sweet!

Felix felix - too late! Couldn't understand why it made so little!! Will avoid in future. Great tip about running under hot water - thank you.

Are all the milk pods sweetened?
I had thought about getting one but neither me or dp take sugar so the ones with milk pods with the milk pods with them are useless.

What drinks come without milk?

FelixFelix · 10/09/2014 12:34

Clr it's odd isn't it!

youmakemydreams I don't take sugar in my coffee and find the milk pods sweet. I usually buy just the normal carte noire coffee pods and add my own milk. You can get a good milk frother from ikea for £1 Smile

minsmum · 10/09/2014 12:49

We use the costa Americana and the kenco Colombian . We stopped using the ones with the milk pods as my dh is diabetic and it really seemed to make a difference. I also got some espresso pods in the pound shop but only found them once
