Hi anyone know where I can get some 'nice' Tinsel from? I had a beautiful two tone cream that was gorgeous but all I see nowadays are bright colours? Any ideas?

The trick with Christmas decorations isn't so much where, as when.

You need to look in JL, HofF any other dept. stores and your local garden centres the second they put their Christmas stock out, the nicest stuff goes very quickly.

Thanks for answering. Better start looking now eh :-)

I'm afraid so, which I hate, it's too early and the shops have Halloween tat mixed with Christmas which means skulls.

I hate skulls.

When does the Next Christmas stuff come out? They had really nice decorations last year so might have something like that?

Johnlewis usually first weekend in oct.

The main problem with where is that buyers tend to theme really strongly. So one year, Selfridges had lots of strong jewel colours and I'd have bought the whole shop. Another year it will be silver and white. Beautiful, but not in keeping with the rest of my collection or my dark cosy living room.

Yeah I had beautiful/tasteful cream tinsel with gold stars, it was really 'fluffy' and looked beautiful draped across fire place and stairs. Tbh I can't stand strong colours (the kids had that in the playroom) but I'd had it for years so now my psycho ex stole it all I need to replace it and start again.
