Ds is almost 8 and football obsessed.

For his birthday he is getting his room decorated and his teams strip .

Any ideas on Christmas presents with a football theme? Don't want to get season ticket or anything but will take him to matches anyways.

Any tips?

I've bought DS some football stencils. He uses similar ones in school at wet play and brings home pictures of "matches" that he has drawn and coloured in.

They were about £3 on eBay.

Yes to all the above. My DS asked for a game called Total Action Football last year, it is a bit of a pain to set up (needs a kitchen table type surface) but he loves it. Also loves football fiction, there are quite a lot of different series out there. We also bought a DVD of football's funniest moments which went down well. Oh and he loves the Fifa game on his DS.

Thanks everyone.
Goals are a great idea because the ones he had are damaged.
He already has a big table football - didn't realise Lego and playmobile did Anything football related so am off to google! Football stencils sound fab too.

Thanks for the tips - any more gratefully received!!!

Football calendar from club shop.

Pencil case from club shop.

Shoot! annual, or whatever the popular football annual is these days.

Rob Childs writes football books (fiction) for that age group. I think Theo Walcott has had some published recently, but don't know what age they are aimed at. The Dan Freedman ones would be too old for 8.

Tour of Wembley (or whatever national stadium is appropriate!)

New boots.

Hospitality seats for his team, instead of just the normal seats. You usually get to meet some players (not necessarily current).

Annual subscription to club's programme.
