Any suggestions? We like to give DS some kind of game for Christmas that we can all play together.

We already have junior monopoly, hungry hippos, operation, frustration and various orchard toys ones. Ideally something that's fun for us all unlike shopping list

Mastermind.

ThrowAChickenInTheAir · 31/08/2014 07:33

Bananagrams is good and continues to be a favourite for us all as dc have got older. We always take it on holiday.

We don't seem to be able to play Monopoly without arguments Blush

I'd recommend Labyrinth too...we all love that.

Dolallytats · 31/08/2014 08:12

I was going to say Frustration, my 6 year old loves it, but I see you already have it. I have bought him Kerplunk for Christmas. I loved this one as a child, so I'm hoping he will too.

Katieweasel · 31/08/2014 21:23

Not a board game but we love LRC, Left Right Centre, a dice game. Comes in a smartie sized tube so takes up no room at all. Complete game of chance so no skill involved apart from knowing your left from your right! Great for all ages x

Cranium! brilliant family game and they do a kids one

minniemagoo · 04/09/2014 09:37

Definitely Labyrinth, its a game they'll play for a long time, we play it that the adults have to go to the next card but the younger ones can see all their cards and go to the next so it ends up fair.
Also Destination is a big hit in this house, there are many versions and we got the Hogwarts one.

Have you the orchard games what a performance - makes us all laugh

WeAllHaveWings · 06/09/2014 17:44

Uno Extreme was a favourite of ds(10) from 5 years old. Used to love playing with us and also when visiting grandparents. Its one the grandparents can play too and games can be short (one round) or best of 5 rounds, or first to 500 (helps with counting) etc.

Pancakeflipper · 06/09/2014 20:08

We have just had a hilarious game of Coppit. Forgotten how funny it is.

Biscoff · 06/09/2014 20:19

Ohhh! Great thread!

42notTrendy · 06/09/2014 20:20

Whot is great. It stays in my handbag and has been played in many pubs/cafés/airports/planes. Ds (8) also loves playing Pontoon/21. So pack of cards also in my bag. Ds also recently got Galapago, cool game.

Biscoff · 06/09/2014 20:20

Dobble

hels71 · 06/09/2014 20:52

DD is also a big Yahtze fan.....

newlark · 06/09/2014 21:20

Uno is our favourite game (dcs are age 5 and 7) and it is pretty quick to play. We like Qwirkle but ds (5) sometimes gets bored and starts using the pieces as building blocks Grin.

Ifyoubuildit · 06/09/2014 21:33

We all love:

Mousie mousie
Bop it extreme
Pass the pigs
Headbanz
Cranium

If you want something more high brow and educational, Rummikub is good.

wolfe1 · 07/09/2014 15:37

Uno and guess who probably the most popular with my 4yo. Who also loves the minion monopoly game (which is like junior monopoly)
