Where have you been for a Christmas Day out/weekend that you would recommend? Don't mind travelling.

We're in Zone 6 so we go to London a few times during the year.
London is lovely (most of the time) at Christmas but last year was a bit damp squid because it was peeing down, DS was meh and we were looking round before going off the Kew Gardens.

The lights (Regent Street are nice)
Covent Gardens
Ham;leys (busy bit festive)
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland (has got bigger and busier)
Christmas Market on the South Bank

I haven't been to Harrods or Selfridges Grotto (went to Bluewater a few years back)
