Colour scheme help

Hi all,

We have just bought a house that we are renovating and of course I'm thinking of colour schemes.

We want to replace our sofas that don't fit in the new house properly with a chocolate brown corner sofa. We already have thakat style indian hardwood coffee table, side board, dining table and side tables like this and black leather and silver breakfast nook chairs.

And of course, I'm thinking of Christmas. I need a colour scheme that will go at Christmas as well. I currently have red, white and lime green as my colour scheme at Christmas. Any ideas on a decorating colour scheme that I can easily transition into Christmas without it clashing terribly.

I'd find some christmas wrapping paper you like and take inspiration from that.

I like the Scandinavian style so would be tempted to go with a soft pale blue which accessorises nicely for Christmas -
