I'm so glad I joined you lovely count downers yes it could be the gin talking. You lot have been great and planning for Christmas has really given me something to focus on and help repair what has been a really rubbish year.

So many presents round the tree, plus the DCs sacks and a dressing up box. Can't wait to see their faces in the morning.

Would you believe it - I actually had to wake DS up! I couldn't sleep (I'm such a child) as I was too excited.

They opened up everything and it's been a huge sucess. I can relax now for a little while.

Been awake since awake since 5 am, shattered now. Stocking was open by 6 am and then it was onto the tree. DS loves his presents, had to build all the Playmobil this afternoon, some really fiddly bits, but we got there in the end.

Apart from being tired, we had a great day. Lovely breakfast, later nice turkey and am munching through nibbles at the moment. Another great Christmas. Tomorrow I shall try and tackle the pile of toys and stuff and put it into the planned storage. Had it all worked out beforehand, hopefully it will all fit.

Shall we start a countdown thread for the year tomorrow IYSWIM?

Of course Chesty - we did last year, but lost count around Febuary time.
