I couldn't sleep, been up since 5 am I can't believe that tomorrow is Christmas eve and DS can open his German presents. Uber-excited!!!

Gave the kids ok, me an extra treat and bought The Croods while I was out at the butchers. We're watching it now. I do not need to leave the house for at least a week now and I don't plan to!

Just some washing, hoovering and ironing and that's the housework done.

Final Amazon parcel arrived this morning. Remember the twitch I had last week? That's the one.

Final wrapping tonight, hoovering tomorrow. Then done.

In the middle of glossing the skirting boards, doors etc upstairs. Trying to keep the long haired German shepherd away... Grr!

Two presents just arrived, one more to hopefully come tomorrow but it's not an important one. Trying to do the pre-Christmas clean, just stopped for a coffee.

Well I need to do an entire food shop as we hadn't planned on being at home at all over xmas but looks like dd is coming down with the pox so wont be going to family as planned!!

Well, I don't know how I've done it but I got the kids involved and the entire house is clean and scrubbed. I have a load in the dryer and another in the washing machine but that's it.

They've hoovered the stairs, scrubbed the bathroom, made their beds, swept and mopped and it's bitten DS as he's not only scrubbed and disinfected the kitchen surfaces, he's done the sink and tiles too and is now, cleaning the living room windows!

The house hasn't been this clean in ages.

Hoovering done, sinks cleaned. Just a bit of tidying to do and need to iron the Christmas tablecloth.

DH has to collect the turkey tomorrow, I'm not leaving the house until we go to my parents for Boxing Day lunch.

I'm done and super excited. I have to work tomorrow and then I'm home for a week!!

Sorry you have to work tomorrow Redcorner. Are you in the service industry? At least you have a whole week off though to enjoy.

I haven't left it this late, farrow, it's just those bloody twitching purchases that I got. Today's amazon parcel with 3 toys, the dressing gown, pants, socks, vests... Couldn't be bothered before, but will have to do it tonight.

I'm getting a bit bored now. Glossing is done. I want it to be Christmas now and play with DSs toys

No worries. It seems like I have been wrapping since November, which I probably have... It's just those final bits and bobs and I have to double check that I got the German presents ready for tomorrow so not to mix up anything.

I'm almost done. Didn't iron the tablecloth but won't take long tomorrow. DHs extra present was only posted today so is unlikely to arrive, never mind though, it was only an afterthought anyway.

My dad is unlikely to be here for Christmas dinner. He works for one of the electricity companies mending power cables, he's been offered £700 to be on standby and said he'd be mad to turn it down. Really wind here though so I imagine there will be trees down.

DPs were supposed to be here tonight but have stalled till tomorrow as "the weather and traffic are awful tonight" I'm sure they will be soooo much better on Christmas Eve
Anyway we are done, all gifts wrapped house clean, dogs bathed and looking smart in their new (early Christmas present) collars. Tomorrow requires the bathroom to be mopped, beds to be changed for DPs arrival and, and, and.......I really think that's it
Just have to wait for their arrival, then we have friends over for a buffet tea then off to the pub- merry Christmas all
