Me too! Good luck! I hope I remember everything! I have to go on Monday for some presents into town too...gah I'm NEVER ready!

HoHoHopelessAtNamingBabies · 22/12/2013 08:41

Whoop! Whoop!

We are settled in for the CBeebies panto and pain au chocolat while DH has a well earned lie in. Then a day of films and lazing by the fire.

Good luck at Aldi! Hopefully not too much of a scrum!

ChestyNutRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 22/12/2013 11:01

I too will be on the way buffet shopping soon ish.

Should have drank less wine last night Xmas Envy
Fab night tho!

OrnamentalAsAnything · 22/12/2013 11:33

Hi, All

Hope the Aldi shopping went well for everyone. Think we are braving the supermarket tonight, I am thinking it should be relatively quiet. Only need vegetables, so feeling organised and ready.

Farrowandbawlbauls · 22/12/2013 12:37

Urgh, woke up with another blinder of a headache that's not going anywhere.

Inlaws have been and gone - it's always nice seeing them..

Juat waiting for the food shop - should be here in the next 25 mintues or so with any luck.

Picking up the meat tomorrow and then that's it. Done.

Good luck with the shopping everyone - hope it not too busy.

Hawkmoth · 22/12/2013 12:38

DH is on his way back from Aldi. We have trivets and booze Grin

AwfulMaureen · 22/12/2013 12:48

I'm back! I did it. I was waiting outside Tesco at 10.30 to go in and "browse". I had paid by 11.10...missed the mad crowds.....got all but two large santa sacks and crackers...oh and apples and fizzy drinks were also missed out but I will get those all locally.

Sigh...oh God I need ham!!

Farrowandbawlbauls · 22/12/2013 13:00

Oh feck...shopping should be here by now.

It's ASDA, it's not going to turn up is it? Please tell me they are just running late - they've never been late before.

OrnamentalAsAnything · 22/12/2013 13:11

Are you sure you've got the time right, farrow? I've been cursing the delivery for being late and then realised I'd got the slot wrong! Xmas Grin

Farrowandbawlbauls · 22/12/2013 13:12

Positive. I keep checking to make sure it's not been refused or returned, the money has gone out of the bank and everything.

OrnamentalAsAnything · 22/12/2013 13:25

Hope it turns up soon.

HoHoHopelessAtNamingBabies · 22/12/2013 13:29

Both o

HoHoHopelessAtNamingBabies · 22/12/2013 13:31

Oops - sorry

Both our grocery deliveries (Ocado) have been late this week. Problems seem to be traffic related. Odd though as drivers normally call if running late but it seems they are all just wanting to press on and not pause to call!

Hope it turns up soon!

Farrowandbawlbauls · 22/12/2013 13:32

That's what I'm hoping. I've give it another hour before I call them I think.

ISawMamaPizzaKissingSantaClaus · 22/12/2013 14:07

I survived! That's it, I shall not leave the house until the 26th or 27th.

It wasn't too bad. We were there at 10:02 am German punctuality and got everything we needed and wanted. So many treats, I want to tuck into my marinated olives and feta, or my cashews, or my marzipan chocolate now!!! Mmmmh Xmas Grin
And the best is, including a couple extra Christmas presents (couldn't resist the dressing gown for DH, he will love it) it only came to £103, which isn't too bad. It includes things like washing powder, 10kg of dog food (they eat this in a week!!!) and Christmas toilet paper Xmas Wink. Couldn't resist that!

DH is out now to the skip after the renovations and then it's all done. Poor him, he still has to work Monday and Tuesday, but I shall enjoy my warm, cosy home.

Film time when he is back. Let Christmas begin Xmas Grin

Yay - shopping is here and nothing substituted.

He was stuck in a traffic jam and another customer was "being difficult over a refund of 20p".

The only mistake I have made is that I've opened up the honey roasted peanuts.

OMG I soooo want some Christmas Loo paper! That would be ace! Congratulations on getting it all done Mama.

OrnamentalAsAnything · 22/12/2013 14:38

Where did you get Xmas toilet paper from? I've seen it online but not instore.

Glad your shopping has arrived, farrow. Enjoy those nuts covered in bee puke! Xmas Grin Hth.

ChestyNutRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 22/12/2013 17:10

Lucky you mama I have to go in tomorrow Xmas Sad

Then the torture of shopageddon again.

Ready for bed here Xmas Grin

ISawMamaPizzaKissingSantaClaus · 22/12/2013 19:55

They had the loo paper at Aldi! £1.79 for four rolls. There is a reindeer on them, a fox, snowflakes and other Christmas lovelies. My bottom is going to be very happy once we finish the roll of boring white Xmas Grin

Well done on finishing the shopping, farrow. Now, relax!

I've twitched again, just a little bit. While I was tidying after typing my post in the afternoon, DS asked for a spiderman dressing gown. I told him it was too late as it's so close to Christmas and Santa couldn't grant wishes that close to D-Day. I told him, he could look for one from his Christmas money afterwards and he was fine with it. Called DH who was near Asda, he found a Spiderman dressing gown, and some extra pants and socks, all for stocking. Twitching like mad! must stay away from shops tomorrow

Well done to everyone who's ready.

Need to make final amendments to the tesco order which is coming tomorrow night. DH last day at work tomorrow. I have two presents I'm waiting for so can't finish wrapping yet. Turkey needs picking up on Christmas Eve. I'm so excited!

Skogkat · 22/12/2013 21:17

I still need some more presents! And food! Tesco will be absolutely packed tomorrow...

TheOnlySevenSleighbells · 22/12/2013 21:29

skogkat littlewoods and very you can order until 11pm tomorrow for Xmas Eve delivery, next I think is until 10pm, there must be other places too. Food shopping is there any chance you could go to a 24 hour supermarket at a stupid time?

TheOnlySevenSleighbells · 22/12/2013 21:30

Tesco order finished. Just need to attempt the other jobs I can't do with a sleeping baby on my lap...

OrnamentalAsAnything · 22/12/2013 22:05

Dammit, I was in Aldi, didn't see any toilet paper. Boo.

Well done on the last-minute spidey gown and stuff, awesome work!

Farrowandbawlbauls · 22/12/2013 22:35

Skog

For the food shop, do a click and collect, either ASDA or Tesco do this - not sure if others do.

Order it all online, go to the store and pay for it and just collect it - that's a massive hassle out the way. You can do that now and collect it in the morning without the hassle of doing the actual shopping.
